You are Engaged!!! Congratulations!!! Now what? Well the first thing you need to do is enjoy this moment, and then start spreading the word. But remember, the first people you should tell are your parents. Now-a-days all news is spread through social media, but this is special news so it's nice to pick up the phone and call your family and friends.
The next thing on your list is to decide on a date. Once you choose that special day, you can start spreading the word so that your family and friends can save the date.
Now that you know the date and season, try to envision your day. Pick a location, theme, size etc. Sometimes location or season can help you with your theme or style. Toasting Glasses for Weddings
The toast is an important and much celebrated part of the wedding reception. It's traditionally done with champagne, but you can always use sparkling cider if you prefer not to have alcohol. The toast is traditionally done after the meal, but before dessert. In more modern wedding celebrations, there are typically several toasts and members of the families and wedding party like to say a few words. Rather than delay the departure of the bride and groom, it's becoming more common to move the toasts and tributes to an earlier time. After the reception has begun and the newlyweds have arrived, guests should have a short while to mix and mingle before the champagne is poured. Caterers will usually provide glasses for the wedding party and guests, but the bride and groom provide their own commemorative champagne glasses. They are decorative, ornate and sometimes personalized for this special occasion. Order your favorite set of toasting glasses today using our secure shopping cart, and toast to a wonderful life together. Remember to keep your toasting glasses in a place you can get to easy, so that you can use them over and over again.
How to Make a Toast
It's traditional for the best man to toast the bride and groom with champagne. It can be a few short words of congratulation and well wishes, or it can be more of a speech. If it's a true toast, it should begin with "Here's to," followed by some kind words which can rhyme or be sentimental or funny. If others wish to make a toast or a speech, it's up to the best man to introduce them and manage the exchange as needed.January 20, 2015
