  • Finding the Perfect Headpiece for Your Wedding

    Lace Headband Sculpted Lace Headband
Swarovski Crystal Bridal Headband Swarovski Crystal Bridal Headband with Ribbon

Choosing a bridal headpiece is not as difficult as choosing the perfect wedding dress.  I recommend you find a dress before you decide on a headpiece and veil.  You don't necessarily have to choose a hairstyle before you decide on a headpiece, but I think it’s important to have your dress; that way you can pick a headpiece to complement it.

For example, if you have a romantic lace dress, then I recommend you find a romantic style headpiece and maybe a simple veil with lace accents.  If your dress has lace accents and is not completely made of lace, then you can go with a full lace veil for a stunning look.  I would still choose a romantic style headpiece in either gold or silver (pick a color that matches your jewelry).  If the headpiece comes in ivory or white, you should pick the same color as your dress.

Your headpiece does not have to match your wedding theme, but it is important to match your dress.  Ladies - just because you are having a rustic-themed wedding does not mean you need to wear flowers made of burlap on your head! Use the burlap to wrap your bouquet but put a pretty lace headpiece on your head.

If contemporary is more your style, then a sleek headpiece is probably going to suit you best.  You might want to pick a headband with some sparkle.  What girl doesn't like to shine, especially on her wedding day?  If your dress is very simple, don't be scared to select a headpiece full of crystals.  Just remember to keep it classy.  You can complement your headpiece with a simple veil or a veil trimmed with beads.
